On 10 May 2011, the Royal Thai Embassy, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Finance of Thailand, held the “Kizuna Concerto” to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Thai-Japan diplomatic relationship. The concert was performed by more than 100 members of Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra at Sumida Triphony Hall, Tokyo, where H.E. Kittirat Na Ranong, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance delivered an opening speech to the event. Dr. Suchart Wongtong, a well-known watercolor artist, also demonstrated his painting skills during the performance. The event was attended by the audience of more than 1,300, who were impressed by the collaboration of classical and traditional Thai musical instruments, as well as the arranged famous Japanese tune.
