11.10 ACT Family Day 2012

On Saturday 10 November 2012, the Royal Thai Embassy, as the host of the year, held the annual ACT Family Day 2012 to promote friendship among ASEAN countries in Tokyo, at Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art in Chiba Prefecture. More than 350 participants, including families of diplomats and staff, from 10 ASEAN diplomatic missions joined the event.  Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Chargé d’affaires, Mr. Teruo Toyoshima, Director General of International Affairs Division, Policy and Planning Department, Chiba Prefectural Government, and Mr. Kazumi Sumida, Director of Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art, each delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.  A variety of entertaining activities such as museum tour, games and soap carving workshop proceeded on throughout the day.  Under the blue sky of a beautiful bright sunny day, adults and children alike cheerfully enjoyed the activities and diversity of food from the 10 ASEAN nations, making the ACT Family Day 2012 another memorable event.
