17th Tokyo International Book Fair 2010

              On 8 July 2010, Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Minister, together with the Embassy’s official and staffs attended the Opening Ceremony of 17th Tokyo International Book Fair 2010 at Tokyo Big Sight. In this occasion, H.I.H. Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko presided in the Ribbon Cut Ceremony as the gesture of the official opening of the Fair, in which Mr. Singtong together with 39 foreign representatives and honorary guests also joined.

               After the opening ceremony, H.I.H. Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko shortly visit various booths inside the Fair and visited the Thai Booth organised by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand (PUBAT) as well as had conversation with Mr. Singtong, Minister, and Miss Porntip, a representative of PUBAT, who also presented them books related to Thailand.

                In this year event, PUBAT joined the 17th Tokyo International Book Fair 2010 together with other publishers and associations from foreign countries. There were 776 companies/associations from 29 countries exhibited in the Fair. The 17th Tokyo International Book Fair 2010 would be held from 8 July – 11 July 2010.
