On 24 May, 2016 H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag and Madam attended the start-up ceremony of Chau Steel Industry Co., Ltd.`s Hamada solar power plant Phase 2’s construction at Shimane Prefecture Chau steel industry public co. Ltd’s main business is the production and distribution of steel as well as the power business operated by its subsidiary, Chow Energy Co., Ltd. (Thailand) which produces and sells the power generated by the various types of power. Chau Energy also has its subsidiary in Japan, Premier Solution Japan, which operates power plants construction and management in Japan. Its solar power plant projects in Japan has been organized since 2014 with more than 10 projects in various Prefectures. In Shimane Prefecture, the Hamada project Phase 1 was launched in September 2015 with an electric capacity of 11 MWs, while the Hamada project Phase 2 has a capacity of 12 MWs. The Hamada project phase 2 is scheduled to be completed by February 2016. This project is a joint project among five countries including Thailand. Japan, China, South Korea and Germany Mr. Narongsak Kumlerd , Chairman of Chau Energy Co. Ltd and Mr. Anavil JiraThammasiri ,CEO as well as honored guests from Thailand, Japan, and other countries attended the start-up ceremony. Ambassador Bansarn delivered his congratulatory message by stating that many Thai companies have recently invested and done business in Japan and this will contribute to the promotion of the economic ties between Thailand and Japan as well as Thailand and Shimane Prefecture.
