The Ambassador met with Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan

On 11 July 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag together with Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Minister paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Yasuhira Shiozaki ,Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare and the President of Thai-Japanese Friendship Association of LDP at Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
In this occasion, the ambassador showed his gratitude to Mr. Shiozaki who has always helped strengthen the relationship between Thailand and Japan, especially in public health which both countries have put in great effort in the collaboration to promote Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in their neighboring countries. Also, the minister of public health in Thailand will be in Japan for the ASEAN – Japan Health Ministers meeting on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and Population Aging between 14-16 July 2017. Moreover, the ambassador provided information regarding Thailand’s economy and politics, as well as the embassy plans for celebrating the 130th year of diplomatic relations between Japan and Thailand, including the plan to lead delegations of Japanese businesses to Thailand to meet with Thai leaders to explore the EEC area by this September.
