The Annual Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony 2017

On 8 August 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, assigned Ms. Ranida Chamchalerm, Counsellor to be the representative to make the floral contribution at the Nagasaki Hypocenter.
On the following day, 9 August 2017, the counsellor attended the 72nd annual Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony held in the Nagasaki Peace Park. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended the annual Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony held in the Peace Park in Nagasaki City. Besides the representatives of the UN and other international organizations, 56 nations and regions, Prime Minister Abe and other high ranking government officials such as H.E. Mr. Kono Taro, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Katsunobu Kato, Minister of Labour, Health and Welfare as well as Mr. Tomihisa Taue, Mayor of Nagasaki City, Mr. Tatsuya Noguchi, Nagasaki City Council Chairman, along with atomic bomb survivors and bereaved family members, all attended the ceremony, which included approximately 6,000 people.
