The Ambassador participated in a reception on the occasion of the ASEAN 50th Anniversary

On 21 November 2017, H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, together with the Ambassadors of ASEAN to Japan and the ASEAN-Japan Centre, held a reception party on the occasion of the ASEAN 50th anniversary in Tokyo. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs for Japan, attended this event and gave an opening speech with other distinguished guests such as Mr. Natsuo Yamaguchi, Komei Party Leader, H.E. Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, former Minister for Foreign Affairs and chairman of Japan-ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Exchange Group. It was the first time to hold the ASEAN reception party in Japan, and it received a lot of attention from the Japanese government, the business sector and academics. More than 700 people attended the event, which was an opportunity to raise awareness about ASEAN in Japan.
