The Ambassador welcomed the Vice-President of the Shonai Bank, Yamagata

On 19 January 2018, Mr. Giichiro Harada, Vice-President of the Shonai Bank, which is the local bank of Yamagata Prefecture, brought a representative delegation from Higashine City to pay a courtesy call and express gratitude to H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag for leading the Thai delegation to visit Yamagata at the end of 2017.
Mr. Harada said that the Ambassador’s trip to Yamagata was the real starting point of the cooperation between Yamagata and Thailand. The Ambassador mentioned that Yamagata was not the only popular tourist place among Thais, but there was also the private sector from Thailand, which the Banpuu Power Japan Company invested in various projects there as well. So, he would like to ask the bank to cooperate with the prefecture to take care of Thai people and businessmen there.
On this occasion, Mr. Yoshitaka Goto, executive officer of the Japan Agricultural Cooperatives of Higashine City was the representative of the Higashine Mayor and the Japan Agricultural Cooperatives to give the winter Keio Sakura branch as a souvenir to the Ambassador .
