Ambassador delivered opening remarks at JETRO's Thai Investment Seminar

On 27 April 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag was invited to deliver the opening remarks at the JETRO's Thai Investment Seminar organized by Board of Investment, Thailand (BOI) and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) at the JETRO Headquarter in Tokyo.

Taking this opportunity, Ambassador Bansarn emphasized that the Thai economy has been continuously improved by the government's comprehensive strategy including the amendment of investment laws and related regulations, the establishment of economic special zone and Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) which aimed to promote 10 sections of innovative industry.

Representatives from BOI and SCB also give further information about the the current economic policy based on the national strategy of "Thailand 4.0".  

More than 100 participants from Japanese government agencies and private companies have participated in the seminar. Most of the questions were focused on the EEC and special economic zones along the boarder of Thailand and neighboring countries.
