Mental Health Promotion Project for Thai People in Japan of the Fiscal Year 2018

On 23 - 24 June 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy cooperated with Dr. Prawet Tantipiwattanakul to organized the Mental Health Promotion Project for Thai People in Japan together with the mobile consular services in Tochigi Prefecture by giving advices to the Thai volunteers in the region, under the topics of 1. How to make other people feel happy around oneself and 2. How to make people listen when one talks, as well as giving individual counseling to those who have problems in daily life including family, education, and work issues. There were 34 people attending the event.
On 25 June 2018, Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Chargé d'affaires, along with the Consul, the consular staff, and Dr. Prawet, visited 11 Thai inmates at Tochigi Women's Prison to inquire about their living conditions, mental health check, relieve their stress and provide relevant consular assistance.
After that, on 28 - 29 June 2018,the Embassy cooperated with the Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health to send Dr. Ananya Sinratchatananand Dr. Chanyaporn Jiamchareonkulas, speakers for a training session for Thai people in Japan under the topics of 1. Know yourself, relinquish stress and 2. Merry mind, successful work. There is also individual counseling on the problems of living in Japan at the Hall of the Royal Thai Embassy, with 35 people attending the event.
Moreover, Ms.Cataleya Phatoomros, Minister Counsellor, along with the Consul, the consular staff, and Dr. Ananya, visited 6 Thai inmates at Fuchu Prison, Tokyo to inquire about their living conditions, mental health check, relieve their stress and provide relevant consular assistance.
