Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, as invited by the Mr. Yoshinori Yamaguchi, Governor of Saga prefecture, led the delegation of Thai officers in Japan to visit Saga prefecture during 19-20 October 2018.
On 19 October, the Ambassador and the Thai delegation had a call on the Governor of Saga to discuss ways foward in furthering the cooperation between Thailand and Saga. Ambassador Bansarn informed the Governor of the Thai Government’s policy to enhance relations between Thailand and local governments of Japan. According to that policy, since 1 October this year, Thailand has established the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Fukuoka, whose responsibilities cover the Kyushu, Chukoku and Okinawa areas. The Ambassador also took this opportunity to introduce Mr. Attakarn Wognchanamas, the Consul General in Fukuoka to the Governor and ensured that the relationship between Thailand and Saga will be expanded and deepened in all dimensions for the years to come.
