The Royal Thai Embassy and AEON held the reception party for the Thailand – Japan Teenage Ambassador


On 6 November 2018, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag presided over the reception party with Mr. Takuya Okada, Honorary Chairman and Advisor of AEON Group to welcome 60 Thai and Japanese student who participated in the program “Thailand – Japan Teenage Ambassador” at the Royal Thai Embassy.

There were a lot of well-known Japanese politicians participating such as Mr. Yasuhisa Shiozaki, the Chairman of Japan-Thailand Parliamentarians' Friendship League, Mr. Fumio Kishida, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Katsunobu Kato, former Minister of Labour and Welfare of Japan, Ms. Toshiko Abe, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hirofumi Nakasone, former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Koichiro Gemba, former Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The Thailand – Japan Teenage Ambassador program aimed to enhance the youth exchange between Japan and other countries which was established by Aeon Group for more than 29 years and there were approximate 2,000 students participating. In addition, this project has been cooperated with Thailand for 3 times and there were about 100 students attended. The Ambassador Bansarn expressed his appreciation for Aeon's willingness and commitment to the development of youth. Thailand is ready to cooperate to promote the relationship between Thailand and Japan in every dimension. He gave his blessing to all students who attended the program closely.
