Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Visiting Japan

From 5-9 January 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag joined Mrs. Busaya Mathelin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, during her participation in STEP (Strategic Exchanges on Practical Level), the programme organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan with the aim to deepen the understanding of Japan through exchanges of views with Japanese experts from various sectors. In this connection, Permanent Secretary Mathelin also discussed future bilateral and regional cooperation between Thailand and Japan, especially during Thailand’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2019, with several stakeholders include Mr.Takeo Akiba,Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs; Mr. Takeo Mori, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs; Mr. Kazuyuki Yamazaki, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs; Mr.Tatsuya Terazawa, Vice-Minister for International Affairs of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Mr. Koji Fujimoto, Deputy Director-General, Office of Healthcare Policy, Cabinet Secretariat; Mr. Motoyoshi Nakashima, President and Representative Director, Nakashima Holdings, Co., Ltd.; Mr. Masataka Fujita, President of ASEAN Japan Center; Mr. Hiroyasu Ando, President of Japan Foundation; Mr. Yasushi Tanaka, Senior Vice President, Japan International Cooperation Agency; and Mr. Nobukatsu Kanehara, Deputy Secretary General of National Security Secretariat and Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary.
