Deputy Prime Minister gave a keynote speech at the Thai Investment Seminar in Osaka

Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag joined the delegation of H.E Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak to visit Osaka, Wakayama and Kyoto between 31 January to 2 February 2019. On the morning of the 31 January, Deputy Prime Minister gave a keynote speech at the Thai Investment Seminar in Osaka on the topic of "Thailand: Advancing ASEAN - Japan Partnership" which has attracted 500 Japanese investors to attend the seminar. Deputy Prime Minister took this opportunity to emphasize the importance of Thailand as the hub of ASEAN as well as the positive developments within the country, such as the coming general election and economic development, which all of these will be supporting factors for the Japanese investors investing the region. In addition, as the Thai government has made this year “the year of investment”, foreign investors who invest in Thailand within this year will receive special benefits, especially the investment in the Government’s target industries and innovation which will contribute to develop Thailand’s competitiveness.
