Deputy Prime Minister visited Wakayama Prefecture

On the afternoon of January 31, 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag accompanied H.E. Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister to visit Wakayama Prefecture. On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister met with Mr. Yoshinobu Nisaka, Governor of Wakayama Prefecture to promote investment from Wakayama Prefecture in Thailand. Particularly, the agricultural industry, food processing and Agro-Tourism, which Wakayama has demonstrated a lot of potential in. In addition, Wakayama is the province that produces the most fruits in Japan.
After the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the Sowakajuen Orange Farm, which has a complete orange processing plant. Then, he went to the Uruwashikan Lacquerware Factory, which has been producing lacquerware since the Edo period, 160 years ago.
