The Ambassador presided over the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Thai Festival in Sendai

On 8 June 2019, Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag presided over the opening ceremony of the 7th Thai Festival in Sendai at Kotoudai Park. Mrs. Kazuko Kohri, Mayor of Sendai city, and Mr. Masanori Endo, the President of the Thai Festival in Sendai Committee who is the main organizer of the event, Mr. Shinya Endo, Deputy Governor of Miyagi Prefecture, and other honorable guests also attended the opening ceremony.

The 7th Thai Festival in Sendai was held during 8 - 9 June 2019. This year, the Royal Thai Embassy has promoted Thai culture, held the Thai garland workshop for the participants, and also provided the mobile consular service for Thai citizens on 8 June. Moreover, the Office of Agricultural Affairs in Tokyo brought various fruits for tasting and selling, including mango, durian, and coconut from the Marketing Organization for Farmers. As for the booth of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, there were the spectacles of Thai dance and Thai boxing, and the activity to recommend tourist attractions in the northeastern region of Thailand.
