The Royal Thai Embassy facilitated the return of 97 Thai people in Japan to Thailand

On 21 April 2020, 97 of Thai people living in Japan returned to Thailand by All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight NH847 from Haneda Airport, and Thai Airways flight TG643 from Narita Airport arrived in Thailand at 15.30 hours. and 16.30 hours.

The repatriation followed the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand’s announcement. The number of passengers was in accordance with the daily quota permitted by the Royal Thai Government as a part of the Government’s preventative measures. The successful repatriation was thankfully to the cooperation with the airlines and relevant government agencies in Thailand.

All Thai passengers flying with this flight were those who registered on the Embassy’s online form and expressed their wish to travel back urgently. They were informed of the 14-day quarantine after arriving in Thailand at the places designated by the Royal Thai Government.  

The Embassy realizes that many Thai people who remain in Japan are facing difficulties and strongly wish to return to Thailand. Therefore, the Embassy is pursuing its most efforts in coordinating with relevant agencies in Thailand to assist them to return to their homeland as soon as possible.
