On 14 September 2020, Mrs. FUJIMOTO Atsuko, Senior Executive Director and Director of Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS), paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun and Mrs. Porndee Lapisatepun, spouse of the Ambassador, on the occasion that Mrs. Porndee has assumed the position of the Deputy Representative of Embassy side of ALFS. Her term will be one year starting from 1 September 2020. They also discussed the ways forwards for the future ALFS activities amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) was established in 1968 with an aim to promote understanding and friendship between Japan and the Asia-Pacific countries. ALFS activities focus mainly on cultural and charity events to raise funds to help the disadvantaged or victims of disasters. At present, there are 26 spouses of foreign ambassadors in Tokyo participating in the ALFS activities, including Thailand.
