On 6 October 2020, Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun gave a lecture on the Thai economy during and Post COVID- 19 to more than 70 audiences at the Seminar held through Zoom by the Japanese Business Federation, Keidanren. The Seminar was co-chaired by Mr. SUZUKI Yoshihisa (President & CEO, ITOCHU Corporation) and Mr. OHYAGI Shigeo (Senior Advisor, Chairman of Advisory Board Teijin Limited), who are both  Presidents of the Japan-Thailand Trade and Economic Committee of Keidanren.

The Ambassador mentioned the importance of Japan to Thai economy, Thailand investment incentives during COVID-19, Thailand's action to resolve the situation of COVID-19 and Thailand's policy for Post COVID-19 by emphasizing the economic partnership between Thailand and Japan in several aspects. The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Japanese companies in Thailand that have been providing the materials for medical equipment which are necessary for the living of Thai people in the COVID-19 crisis. The Ambassador also touched upon how the Royal Thai Embassy, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka and Fukuoka have been facilitating Japanese businessmen and families to enter Thailand to perform their duties which is also an important part of the economic recovery of both countries.
