2nd grade students experience Muay Thai demonstration along with getting to know Thailand.

On 15 December 2020, the 2^nd grade students of Umenoki Elementary School, Kita Ward, Tokyo, had an opportunity to get to know Thailand, Thai food and Thai culture and gained experience on the uniqueness of Muay Thai, as the School is an official supporter of Thailand during the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games next year.

Apart from learning about Thailand, the children also participated in quizzes about Thailand and enjoyed the Muay Thai demonstration. The children were encouraged to put their best efforts in every future endeavour in life, be their studies or sports. “By keeping on practicing and fighting for the things you love, they will finally succeed,” said the organisers.

The activity was organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, in cooperation with Saenchai Muay Thai Gym for the Muay Thai demonstration. At the end of the session, the children expressed their gratitude by a choir singing “It’s A Small World” in Japanese.
