ASEAN Ambassadors exchanged views with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

On 16 December 2020, Ambassadors of ASEAN countries, including H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand, exchanged views with H.E. Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, at Iikura Guest House with the participation of State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and relevant executives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

On this occasion, Ambassador Singtong reiterated Thailand’s firm support to advance ASEAN-Japan cooperation especially in Thailand’s capacity as the incoming ASEAN-Japan Country Coordinator starting from the middle of 2021, cooperation under the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) and cooperation to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
