Upon of decision of the Thai Festival in Tokyo Organising Committee, the Thai Festival 2022 will be held online from 1-31 May 2022. The main theme of the event is "T-POP", which is aimed at promoting “Thai music” and using Thai music as a mean to promote Thai culture and creating positive image of Thailand in Japan.
Due to the COVID-19 infection situation, the Organising Committee decided to hold the Thai Festival “ONLINE” for safety of the participants and all related parties. The main online event consists of T-POP Entertainment activities under the collaboration with T-Pop Stage Show, which is an online concert to be participated by leading Thai artists. The show will be streamed on Facebook Live and YouTube Live on 15 May 2022.
In addition, online and offline special promotion campaign on Thai food, Thai products and services will be organised throughout May 2022 to allow audience at home to enjoy Thainess without having to visit the Yoyogi Park.
The "Thai Food Near You" project will include special Thai food menu and offers by more than 60 Thai Select restaurants in 7 prefectures in Japan. The "Thai Products Near You" will be held in collaboration with distributors of Thai products and services in Japan which offers online shopping at home.
This year's Thai Festival poster has “Mamaung Chan” as the main character of the event, specially designed by Mr. Wisuth Pornnimit.
