Nomination of the Prince Mahidol Award 2020

The Prince Mahidol Award Foundation was established by the royal permission of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej , in accordance with the proposal of Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, in commemoration of the Centenary Birthday Anniversary of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla on January 1st, 1992. The Foundation was established in honour of His Royal Highness and in recognition of his exemplary contribution as “The Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand.” 


 Categories of the Award 
The Prince Mahidol Award, which is conferred to individual(s) or institution(s), is divided into two categories: 
In Medicine: for outstanding performance and/or research in the field of medicine for the benefit of mankind In Public Health: for outstanding contribution in the field of public health for the sake of the well-being of the peoples.* 
* These two categories were established in commemoration of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol’s graduation with Doctor of Medicine (Cum Laude) and Certificate of Public Health. 


Due to the COVID-19 situation that may have impacted the preparation and submission of nominations for the Prince Mahidol Award 2020, the committee extends the nomination deadline to June 21, 2020.
