The Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo provided mobile consular services in Tochigi Prefecture

On 18 June 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo conducted mobile consular services at the Tochigi International Center in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture. Approximately 150 Thai nationals residing in Tochigi Prefecture and nearby areas came to receive the services. Services provided included passports, family registration, legalization, consultation on consular related matters and an online briefing by Dr. Pravech Tuntipiwatanasakul about how to manage stress and improve mental health.

The Embassy received a strong support from a Thai volunteer group “Dekthai Group” in facilitating the Thai nationals who came for the services. Also, the Thai Network in Japan (TNJ) provided an individual counseling service to interested Thai nationals.

On this occasion, Mr. Romdej Phisalaphong, Minister Counsellor, expressed sincere appreciation to Mr. SHINOZAKI Naoki, Chairman of the Tochigi International Association with the participation of Mr. FUJII Toshiaki from the Tochigi International Association, for their continued supports of the Embassy’s mobile consular services. In addition, Miss Achara Chaiyasan, Consul and Counsellor, held a meeting with the Dekthai Group to discuss on how to promote the Group’s work in helping Thai community in Tochigi Prefecture and the facilitation of the mobile consular services in the future.
