Mobile consular service in Ibaraki Prefecture on 31 August 2024

          On 31 August 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo assigned Ms. Sirimon Atipatya - Minister Counselor, and Ms. Pattarawan Na Nakorn – Consul and Counselor, along with officials and staff from Consular Section, to provide a mobile consular service to the Thai community at the Ibaraki International Association in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The services included passport issuance, civil registration, legalization services, and consular advice, with 109 people receiving services. The Thai Network in Japan (TNJ) and local volunteers also joined efforts to support the Embassy’s activities.

          In addition, Dr. SAWADA Takashi, a Japanese volunteer doctor, kindly assisted in providing basic health check-up service and the Ibaraki Prefecture police also set up a booth to create awareness regarding the telephone scams and illegal brokers who exploit Thai workers seeking employment abroad.
