2019年5月30日、ピチェット・ドゥロンカウェロートデジタル経済社会大臣とバンサーン・ブンナーク大使は、日本経済新聞社の招待を受け、第25回国際交流会議アジアの未来で開催された晩餐会に出席しました。晩餐会では、安倍晋三内閣総理大臣による演説が行われました。2019年5月31日、デジタル経済社会大臣は、日経フォーラムで「Digital ASEAN & the Future of Digital Thailand」というテーマで講演をしました。大臣は、この講演でデジタル時代に対応できるような法制度の整備、7県内のスマートシティ建設、タイ国内すべての市町村にハイスピードインターネット接続サービスの提供やデジタル外交など、タイのデジタル化開発について強調しました。また、日経フォーラムは、新興国の指導者にとって政治経済における国家ビジョンを示す重要な舞台となっています。今年は、マレーシアの首相、バングラデシュの首相、カンボジアの首相、ラオスの首相、フィリピンの大統領などが講演をしました。
