大使が川越まつり2022に参加し川越市長と懇談
2022年10月15日、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使夫妻は埼玉県川越市で開催された川越まつりに参加しました。開会式では埼玉県の大野元裕知事と川越市の川合善明市長が挨拶を行いました。
川越まつりは、毎年10月の第3週目の土日に開催されますが、この2年は新型コロナ感染症の影響を受けて中止をしていました。
この機会に大使は川合市長や埼玉・タイ王国友好協会の原敏成会長らと懇談し、川越市とタイの協力関係が多様な分野で発展していることを確認しました。特に観光分野や草の根の交流は盛んであり、コロナ禍以前は多くのタイ人が毎年川越市を訪れていました。今後は再びタイ人観光客が川越を訪問することが期待されます。...
