バンサーン・ブンナーク大使は記者会見で歓迎の挨拶をすると共に、ANAインターコンチネンタルホテルにて行われたMICE業界関係者及びメディア向けレセプション、及びタイ大使館にて行われたタイでのMICE事業利用者、もしくは関心を持つ大手企業向けレセプションにて挨拶を行いました。大使はタイのMICE産業は質が高く、世界的レベルとして認められていること、タイは多彩なロケーションを持っていること、地域内のビジネスの中心地であり、また人的能力が高いことなど、MICE産業に最適であり多面的な可能性を持っていると強調しました。
同時に、タイはMICE産業先進国である日本から様々な仕法を学び、協力をしていく必要があります。2017年3月3日に、タイ展示会協会と日本展示会協会はタイ大使館において、大使及びTCEBのノッパラット会長の立会の元、両者の協力強化を図るために覚書の締結を行いました。

2017年4月11日、タイ国政府コンベンション＆エキシビション・ビューロー(TCEB)のMICE関連サービス公的機関調整担当のアッカポン・ソラスチャート委員長と、タイ政府の担当官らがバンサーン・ブンナーク大使を表敬訪問しました。一行は、タイでの会議や展示を希望する企業、機関への便宜提供について日本側と意見交換する目的で来日しました。
