On June 9, 2023, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, hosted a lunch meeting with 18 Thai students and teacher who are members of the Thai Student Group in Sendai at Chada Thai Restaurant during his visit to Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. 2022年6月24日、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使は、日本の地方と協力関係を深め、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の後初めて行われたタイフェスティバルに参加するため仙台市を訪問した際に宮城県知事の村井嘉浩氏と協議しました。
宮城県知事は、宮城県とタイの良好な関係を強調し、地域の人にタイを知ってもらうために10年前から開催されている仙台でのタイフェスティバルを例として挙げました。大使は宮城県知事に県内のタイ投資家の支援を進言しました。投資家のほとんどはエネルギー部門であり、日本のカーボンニュートラルの政策に沿って日本に投資するようになりました。また、両国間の観光を元のように回復するための水際対策を緩和するよう日本政府に働きかけるよう宮城県知事に要請しました。

Mrs. Pattamawadee Aueareechit, Counsellor (Consul), participated in a virtual Orientation for 16Thai students who received a scholarship to study at KOSEN (National Institute of Technology) in various prefectures including Aomori, Ibaraki, Okayama. Miyagi, Hyogo and Niigata. During the said orientation, Ambassador Singtong shared experiences and gave guidance to the students in order to prepare for their study and living in Japan.
