On 11 October 2012, eight students from Azabu High School in Tokyo visited the Embassy as part of their curriculum’s field trip.  They attended a briefing on Thailand-Japan relations by the Embassy staff and actively raised questions about the difference between the two countries, roles of diplomats and the Royal Thai Embassy’s roles after the earthquake and tsunami in Tohoku region.

On 14 June 2014, Mr. Yordying Supasri, First Secretary, represented the Royal Thai Embassy in congratulating the Badminton Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage and YONEX in their agreement signing at Okura Hotel, Tokyo. The agreement was the extension of their previous three-year-agreement in 2011 upon having YONEX as the sole badminton equipment sponsor for Thai national badminton team and Thailand Open.
