The association has organized various activities to tie the bilateral relations such as planting cherry blossoms in Chiang Mai in February 2019, and the Shonai Bank (one of the founders of the Yamagata -Thailand Friendship Association) gave cooperation for shooting location to Thai TV drama “Dang Duang Haruethai” in Yamagata prefecture etc.
