... were invited to taste the assorted dishes, which were delivered to the Embassy beforehand. It was a truly enjoyable culinary experience. They were all very tasty and pleasing to the eyes. Each menu used local famous ingredients. This also shows that Thai food can be cooked with Japanese ingredients. The Royal Thai Embassy would like to thank the organizers and the Host Towns for the Thai teams, namely, Saga Prefecture, Kanoya City of Kagoshima Prefecture, and Odate City of Akita Prefecture, for this wonderful experience....

 On August 26, 2011 Madame Aumaporn Futrakul, Ambassadors spouse, performed cooking demonstration to the wives of Japanese MPswith a view to promoting Thai cuisine and culture. The Spicy Glass Noodle Salad with Seafood (Yum Woon Sen) and Spicy Lemongrass Soup with Prawns (Tom Yum Kung) were chosen for this special demonstration.
