On 17 November 2011, Mme. Aumaporn Futrakul, Ambassador’s spouse, organized an event for 11 members of Small Interest Group “Taste of Asia” of the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society, in which she introduced how to preprae Thai dishes, Tom Yum Kung soup and Spicy Glass Noodles Salad with Seafood, to the participants.

Ambassador attended the press conference of Beisia’s Thai Fair

The Ambassador shared his view that the Thai Fair would help raise awareness of Thai food to people of all generations who live outside Tokyo. Having Thai food on the supermarket shelves also reiterated the fact that Thai food can be easily cooked at home. The Ambassador closed his remarks by recommending must-try products, such as Gros Michel banana, durian, mangosteen, coconut juice and jasmine rice.
