Primary school students visited the Residence

... On 16 August 2011, Mme Aumaporn Futrakul, the ambassadors spouse, and the Embassy officers gave a lecture on Thailand and Thai culture to 12 primary school students and their parents. Their visit to the Residence was a part of Foreign Culture Studies Program for the 3rd Children’s International Speech Contest candidates. On 11 July 2013, Mme. Monthip Upatising, Ambassador’s spouse, and diplomats attended the 7thThai Fruits Carving Contest Award Ceremony, held at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, Tokyo. The Contest was organized by Japan Fruits & Soap Carving Society, where Ms. Noriko Kosaka is the president. Mme Monthip presented the opening speech, expressing her appreciation to the Society for its activities of promoting Thai Carving in Japan and also touching upon the common cultures of the two countries in foods and decorations. Ambassador’s spouse attended the 3rd Thai Carving Contest

On 1 October 2011, Mme Aumaporn Futrakul, Ambassor’s spouse, attended the 3rd Thai Carving Contest at Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, Hamamatsucho, organized by Japan Thai Carving Association. She made the opening speech and joined the soap carving selection panel, in which 40 pieces of carved soap were nominated for prizes. On 20 January 2015, five winners of Kyoritsu International Foundation’s Japanese speech contest paid a courtesy visit to Minister Singtong Lapisatepun at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Minister shared with them the long history of Thailand and Japan’s relations and Embassy’s roles.
