横浜市国際局長が大使を表敬訪問
2022年1月11日、新年のご挨拶として、横浜市国際局長の橋本徹氏御一行が、 シントン・ラーピセートパン大使を表敬訪問しました。双方は、産業協力などの発展を遂げている横浜市とタイの間の様々なプロジェクトの進捗状況について話し合いました。また、多方面から二国間関係に寄与する日本におけるタイの果物やコーヒーに関して、友好的な意見交換を行いました。
大使は横浜市長を表敬訪問
2021年9月24日、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使は代表団と共に、横浜市役所にて山中竹春横浜市長（2021年8月30日就任）を表敬訪問し、横浜市とタイの更なる関係強化に向けて会談しました。 現在、横浜市とタイは、スマートシティ、都市開発、気候変動、第二の横浜市と言われるアマタスマートシティ ・チョンブリ(AMATA Smart City Chonburi)開発等の様々な協力関係を行っています。
大使が横浜市国際局長と協力を強化
2024年6月24日、横浜市の三枝匡裕国際局長一行が、ウィッチュ・ウェチャーチーワ大使を表敬訪問しました。両者は、横浜市とタイ、特にバンコクとの関係強化を図るための様々なプロジェクトの推進について協議しました。現在、横浜市とタイはスマートシティ、都市開発、気候変動対策、バンコクでの横浜市の事務所開設などで協力しています。
また、横浜市長は、6月にタイと横浜市の様々な分野での協力促進のためにバンコクを訪問予定です。
