Ambassador welcomes a person with a disability under the 2020 Japan Barrier-Free Project.

The Thai diplomats' spouses chose to provide donation from the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) to the Pakjit Pakjai Project in Chiang Mai Province, which teaches the Japanese "Sashiko" embroidery technique to the visually impaired people in Thailand. Such technique is used by Japanese women to embroider clothes at night without any lights from candles, lamps, nor electricity in the old time. The same technique can therefore be practiced and create income for the visually impaired people....

On 18 April 2012, Mme Aumaporn Futrakul, spouse of the Ambassador, joined the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) Festival and Charity Bazaar held at ANA Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo.  Participants enjoyed a variety of cuisine, exotic traditional products and dances from 26 countries in Asia and Oceania.  Thailand’s booth also received many visitors.

Donation by the Natural Disaster Relief Fund of the ALFS

On 9 November 2010, Mme Aumaporn Futrakul received a cheque of 300,000 yen from Mrs. Hanayo Kato, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS), which is a donation from the Natural Disaster Relief Fund of the ALFS to aid victims of recent flooding in vast areas of Thailand.  The money will be donated to help victims rebuild their towns and restore normalcy to their lives and livelihood. On 4 July 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo,held a teaching lesson for Japanese flower arrangement(Ikebana) with the cooperation from the Small Interest Group ofthe Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) at the Hall of the Royal Thai Embassy.The lesson was taught by Fujiko Masuda, the President of the Ikebana School of Sogetsu-ryu. On this occation, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed the participants as well. 02.23-24 ALFS members joined Thai North-eastern cuisine cooking class

During 23-24 February 2012, Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society members joined the Thai North-eastern cuisine cooking class at the Residence.
