2022年10月26日、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使は、三菱自動車工業(株)の矢田部陽一郎代表執行役副社長、中村達夫副社長補佐、江上浩之アセアン・オセアニア本部長をタイと日本の関係強化のため夕食会に招きました。
矢田部氏は、タイは最大の生産拠点として重要であり、三菱自動車工業(株)の成功にはタイのあらゆる分野からの支援が不可欠であることを強調しました。また大使は、タイの自動車産業の発展における三菱自動車工業(株)の役割ならびに同社はタイからの最初の自動車輸出業者であると述べ、同社が脱炭素社会に向けて動き出すためにタイと共に未来の車を開発することを期待するとしました。
