The team came to Japan during 12-17 November 2013 to participate in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup 2013. Thailand and Kanoya city have good cooperation especially in sports. Previously, Kanoya was the host town for Thai volleyball national team to participate in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and after. Kanoya will also send high school volleyball representatives athletes to practice in Thailand.
