Thailand will come to Sakae Hisaya Odori Park in the middle of Nagoya again this year! The Thai Festival in Nagoya was started in 2005 with the aim of introducing the charm and splendor of the Kingdom of Thailand, the land of smiles, to Nagoya. It is the third Thai festival in Japan after Tokyo and Osaka.
For the two days of the event, the venue will resemble the streets of Bangkok. Thai food stalls are lined up along with Thai miscellaneous goods and Thai fruits.

On 14 June 2014, Ambassador Thanatip Upatising, together with Consul-General Vichit Chitvimarn, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka, met Mr. Hideaki Omura, Aichi Governor, upon their visit to join Thai Festival in Nagoya. They discussed on trade and investment between Thailand and Aichi. Ambassador also confirmed that Thai political situation has cooled down and curfew has been withdrawn, lifting worries in traveling to Thailand for Japanese tourists and businesspeople.
