The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health of Thailand, and graciously attended by Mr. Chai Wacharong, Thai Trade Representative, senior executives from the Ministry of Public Health, and Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige, Secretary-General of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.

On this occasion, the Ambassador mentioned that Thailand wishes EXPO 2025 to be a good opportunity to bring more tangible and sustainable solutions to key issues of common concerns of people around the world. In addition, Thailand has participated in the World Expo since the EXPO 1967 in Montreal as well as the EXPO hosted by Japan in Osaka and Aichi, showing the close relations between Thailand and Japan.
