The safety of seafood and fishery products from Thailand
The COVID-19 pandemic has raised concern over possible transmission through food, especially imported seafood and fishery products. However, there is no evidence of COVID-19 transmission through the said products.
To ensure safe seafood handling, Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand has launched extra measures on seafood and fishery products for Thai aquaculturists to follow strictly, by applying Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP),including wearing mask and gloves during the production process.
