2023年7月14日、三菱UFGフィナンシャル・グループ（MUFG）のグローバルコマーシャルバンキング事業本部の板垣靖士本部長が就任の挨拶のためにシントン・ラーピセートパン大使を表敬訪問しました。
双方はMUFGのタイにおける「アユタヤ銀行」ブランドでの投資について話し合いました。タイへの投資は順調で、日本の観光促進キャンペーンも行っています。また、日本ASEAN友好協力50周年を記念し、タイとASEAN諸国をつなぐイベントである「日ASEAN Startup Business Matching Fair 2023」についても言及しました。この機会に大使は、新型コロナウイルス流行の中、在日タイの留学生に奨学金を支給したMUFGに改めて感謝の意を表しました。

On 6 June 2023, Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of Mekong Institute, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, during his visit to Japan to attend ASEAN-Japan Business Week 2023.
