2021年7月25日、タイのピパット・ラチャキットプラカーン観光・スポーツ大臣は、国際オリンピック委員会（IOC）のトーマス・バッハ会長と面談し、去る7月23日に東京2020オリンピック開会式が成功裏に行われたことを歓迎すると共に、今大会が滞りなく開催されることを祈願しました。
この面談は東京のホテルオークラで行われ、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使とクンインパッタパー・リーサワットトラクーンIOC委員が同席しました。クンインパッタマーは、世界バドミントン連盟副会長、そしてタイバドミントン協会長も務めています。

On 23 January 2020, Mr. Tomomi Matsuta, Mayor of Misato town, Akita prefecture paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun. Misato town is the host town of the Thai national team of badminton who will compete in the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games 2020. In addition, Nonthaburi province has also exchanged in education field with Misato town.
