On 13 July 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy received a package from a child protection center in Japan with well-wishing messages and a thousand paper crane inside, which the children in the center desired to sent them as an encouragement for the Thaiyouth soccer team who were trapped in Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai.
