2022年1月4日、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使は渋谷区主催の新年交歓会に出席しました。同会には、渋谷区にゆかりのある大使館から大使や代表ら17名が出席し、壇上より参加者に挨拶をしました。
シントン大使は、タイへの外国人観光客誘致事業である「Visit Thailand Year （タイ観光年）2022」について紹介しました。また、両国の歴史と関係が深いアユタヤ県にある、チャイワッタナラーム寺の写真をスクリーンで投影すると共に、今年、日タイ修好135周年を迎える両国の長い良好な関係について話しました。
