Ambassador attends the commemoration ceremony marking the 95th anniversary of the bestowment of the Holy Relics of the Lord Buddha at Takao-san Yakuo-in Temple

... graciously bestowed the Holy Relics of the Lord Buddha upon the delegation of Japan Federation of Boy Scouts (now the Boy Scout of Japan) during His visit to Thailand near the end of 1930. Subsequently, in 1956, a white stupa was constructed at Takao-san Yakuoin Temple to house these Holy Relics. Moreover, in 1991, a replica of Phra Phuttha Chinna Rat statue was presented by Wat Paknam Paseecharaoen of Thailand to be enshrined in this stupa. 

Minister Counsellor attended the Temple Consecration Ceremony at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tochigi

... the Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo, for the Temple Consecration Ceremony with an Enshrinement of Sacred Marker Spheres (the opening of the ordination hall) at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tochigi. This ordination hall is considered the second ordination hall in Japan (The first one is in Wat Paknam, Chiba). The ceremony was attended by over 150 monks from Thailand and Thai temples in Japan, and more than 700 Buddhist devotees participated in the event.

... Thai Embassy organized a Buddhist merit-making ceremony for the remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at Wat Paknam Temple, Chiba. Ms. Prangtip Kanchanahattakij, Chargé d' Affaires ad interim, presided over the ceremony, together with Team Thailand officials and spouses, the Embassy’s staff and Thai people living in Japan. There were approximately 50 people attending the said ceremony.
