2021年9月4日、6日、シントン・ラーピセートパン大使は、東京2020パラリンピック大会でメダルを獲得した車いす陸上、ボッチャ、バドミントン、テコンドーの各代表選手団を選手村で祝福しました。
車いす陸上とボッチャは各競技5名がメダリストとなりました。車いす陸上競技では、T53クラスのポンサコン・ペーヨー選手が100m、400m、800mに出場し世界記録を更新すると共に3個の金メダルを獲得しました。これは、パラリンピック大会におけるタイ人最多メダル獲得数です。また、T54クラスのアティワット・ペーンヌア選手は100mで金メダル、400mで銀メダルを獲得しました。T54クラスのプラワット・ワホーラム選手は1500mで銀メダル、T54クラスのプートレート・コンラック選手は1500m、5000mで2個の銅メダル、T54クラスのサーイチョン・コンジェン選手は800mで銅メダルを獲得し、車いす陸上競技で総数9個のメダルを手にしました。...
