On 19 March 2019, Mr. Masato Furuya, the Director of Asia Center, The Japan Foundation, led 6 volunteers who had served as Japanese language teachers in junior high schools to pay a courtesy call on Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag. The Nihongo Partners Project was organized by The Japan Foundation since 2014 and has sent volunteers to perform duties in various countries approximately 1,800 people at the end of 2018.
