His Majesty the Emperor of Japan,
      Tokyo.
        I have learnt with deep sorrow of the destructive earthquake in Kumamoto which has caused much loss in human lives and untold devastation. I humbly wish to express to Your Majesty as well as to the people of Japan and the bereaved families my sincerest sympathy and condolences for this tragic disaster.
