2013年10月5日、タナティップ・ウパッティシン大使夫妻及び大使館職員は、横浜市中区の山下公園おまつり広場で開催された日本・ASEAN友好40周年を記念するイベント「ASEAN Festival 2013」に参加しました。大使は各国駐日大使、日本アセアンセンター事務総長、来賓の方々と共に開会式で登壇し、フェスティバル開会のくす玉を割りました。 会場には、各国の料理、物産、観光、文化を紹介する約70ブースが出店した他、ステージでは民族衣装の紹介、舞踊、ライブ公演などが行われました。タイは、はまっこムエタイジムによるムエタイのデモンストレーション、大使館弦楽合奏団による伝統音楽の演奏、タイ雑貨や小物の販売、タイ旅行のプロモーションを行いました。
